Updates from the Algae4IBD General Assembly.
The first two days were packed with presentations and discussions on the advancements of all the work packages.
A special shoutout to Benoit Queguineur from Algaia for his presentation on the development of food products based on anti-inflammatory seaweed ingredients for IBD patients. Incorporating these innovative ingredients into various food matrices—cereals, dairy/smoothies, and confectionery products—is making good progress.
The final day was dedicated to an immersive visit to the Algaia application laboratories in Saint Lô to witness our new research and development facility and equipment firsthand.
The AG members also took a moment to step back with a visit to the nearby D-day beaches. As we approach the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings on June 6th, it was a reminder of the courage and sacrifice that shaped today’s world.
