Welcome to Aurelie who joined the Saint Lô R&D team in January!
After a Master’s degree in marine chemistry, Aurelie completed a thesis on carrageenans at the Station Biologique de Roscoff, then worked at CNRS and CEA.
Specialized in enzymology and glycochemistry of macroalgae, Aurelie has been conducting research for three years as part of the VArECH project, a collaborative project between Algaia and the University of Caen, aiming at valorizing stranded seaweed.
She will now put her expertise in the structural characterization of algal molecules as Analytical & Research Manager, for the development of new analyzes and Algaia products. She will also be involved in collaborative projects, and will work with the Application laboratory and Algaia Services.
